Mandrake/LILO dual boot options??
Okay, thanks, that stopped to dual boot option, the PC just boots straight onto Vista. I still need to format my PC, my intention was to format the XP drive then do a clean install of Vista to the Vista drive but I still have no option to format the XP drive in Disk Management. Is there something else I can do,

If he decides that he can't face the pain of 2 x W98 installs after reading this then there are much simpler options, Yep!!! -) & he could always do the fancy extra stuff, with the Boot Manager & things at a later date, couldn't he? ... it's the dual W98 installs that need to be thought through, once that's done XP

I just installed 64 bit Vista Ultimate, retail full version, in what I thought was a dual boot environment. I added a new sata hard drive, and installed Vista on it. I think that to have 2 (or more) installations of W98 the easiest thing would be to install a boot manager, & I think that actuall yintroduces a whole extra layer of complexity & also possibly some incompatibility? ... I did this on my DOS/W98 PC, it's not the only way but it's by far and away the easiest.

DUAL BOOT OPTIONS FOR NEW COMPUTERS
Either a non-functional Continue with XP Upgrade (top and hence default) or XP Home (bottom). Selecting XP Home loads a working copy of XP Pro. Can I install "NT" to a NTFS partition that I can create on my "D" drive with Partition magic and use Partition magic's boot manager to direct the boot up, even with "C" being Fat32? Am I right in that NT would see this new partition as a "C" drive and not see my other drive at all? Any suggestions would be
